I was the killer and I had a lot of fun. The Criminal is the ONLY person who can lie, so I told everyone that I was leaving my husband because he was having an affair with the victim!  I didn't know I had that kind of thing in me. It was so much fun.

We have a bed and breakfast at Smith Mountain Lake. We have hosted Step Into Mystery events every year for our guests, friends, and neighbors. They are so unique! We have an airport next to the Inn and our mysteries involve private airplanes and local color. These events are so unique and well received that I mentioned them in my presentation this year at the innkeepers convention in Ohio

I don't really like being someone else but this was fun because I could spend my time asking as many people as I could about details I had found out from others. I felt like a detective in a crime series and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I'm so glad I had this experience.

We did an escape room in my house with a club I belong to and we had a BLAST! It was easy to set up and took us a little over an hour. There were some people who were more involved than others, but there was enough to do so that everyone got to do something. It was a perfect way to spend a cold evening.

We were potential recruits for the Capital One tech hiring program. We came from all over the country for a week and the feature was the Step Into Mystery Event. It was so much fun and I was impressed that any corporation would provide us with this type of new and different entertainment. I loved it and I'm really thinking about taking a job at Capital One.

We have done a monthly event at Branchlands for our residents. Step Into Mystery worked with us to make the Clue Version fit our residents and it has been a big success. It is sometimes hard to find activities that will keep these seniors engaged and interacting. There were just the right amount of clues and they were easy enough for our residents to follow. I am thinking about doing an event that would include the families of our residents as well.
